Florida Hospital DeLand is a 156-bed community hospital staffed by more than 140 physicians and 550 healthcare professionals, offering a full spectrum of quality medical and surgical services to the residents of DeLand and West Volusia County, Florida.
The Emergency department at Florida Hospital DeLand proudly serves over 33,000 patients each year and has 23 examination rooms, nine of which are dedicated to patients with high cardiac risk. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, the Women's HealthCare Center is dedicated to preventative care and early detection and offers a wide variety of services.
In 2009, Florida Hospital DeLand was voted one of the top 100 Orlando-area companies for working families.
Southern charm can still be found in DeLand, a unique city filled with historic homes and buildings and an award-winning downtown area. The scenic St. Johns River runs along the northern border, along with some of Florida's most beautiful wildlife preserves. DeLand is home to the prestigious Stetson University. The county also includes other institutions of higher learning with national reputations for excellence, including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona State College, University of Central Florida and a regional campus for Florida State University College of Medicine.
